near local is a turnkey self-service grocery concept, developed for the smaller village with 300+ households where the local store is closed or in danger of closing

near local offers a total solution for the city, where the most important services within grocery, tobacco, parcel delivery and pharmacy are offered in a single solution

near local does not require citizens to finance the solution, however, citizens must provide suitable, prepared land and a deposit of DKK 100,000 to cover the costs of closing down and moving the store to a more suitable location if the local community does not support the store sufficiently.

A Smart Shop 24/7 will consist of approx. 50 sqm store and approx. 12 sqm warehouse/receiving area

near local is fully automated and the purchase takes place where the customer checks in with an APP or key fob, buys the items needed, leaves the store and gets a receipt

  • A suitable area must be made available
  • The area is being prepared for the placement of a Smart Shop 24/7
  • Power is established - min. 36 amps
  • Outdoor spaces must also be made attractive and accessible
  • Maintenance of outdoor areas, emptying of installed trash cans, etc.
  • Store cleaning
  • Most importantly, create soul and atmosphere in and around the store
  • A minimum purchase is agreed as a prerequisite for the Smart Shop to be placed in the city - 2.5 million + VAT
  • A deposit of DKK 100,000 is paid. If the store does not perform, the deposit is used to relocate the Smart Shop
  • The Performer store and the Civic Group will pay back to the city by sponsoring, for example, jerseys for the local miniput team.
